Children’s Program Intern

The Children’s Program Intern will coordinate day-to-day operations of the children’s program and develop innovative educational activities and curriculum for children between ages 3 – 16. The Intern will work closely with the Program Coordinator and Director in planning, developing, and implementing classroom activities for children of varying ages to fill the educational gaps observed among the children of Spanish-speaking families.

Lorena Miller

Lorena has a MA in Media Education and a wide background working with international immigration, women,  education, journalism and photography. Email Lorena

Peyton Hobson

Program Coordinator

Peyton is a Louisville native and graduated with a BA from Western Kentucky University in advertising design and photojournalism. Well versed in advertising, she also has much experience teaching English as a second language. She spent 16 months in Spain teaching English to all ages. She has also spent much time volunteering and teaching ESL around Louisville. Email Peyton.

Liana Ibershoff

Program Services Assistant
Liana is from Kentucky and has spent the last eight years traveling and volunteering with women and children, especially in the Hispanic/Latino community. She is studying Social Change and Spanish at the University of Louisville. Email Liana

The Goal

The goal of Doors to Hope is to provide education to the people of the south central area of Louisville. This center is a congregational ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and works in collaboration with Holy Name Catholic Parish.
